Read about the first Annual Tom Regan Memorial Lecture

You can now read more about the firstAnnual Tom Regan Memorial Lecture, given by Carol J. Adams on September 21st, 2018 at North Carolina State University on the website of the NCSU Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. Adams is the author of The Sexual Politics of Meat and many other books.

Entitled “Animal Ethics and Contemporary Politics,” Adams’ lecture argued that animal philosophy and theory decenter the human and question and challenge white privilege, male privilege, patriarchy, xenophobia, and “American exceptionalism.” This event commemorated the work of CAF co-founder Tom Regan, who was on the philosophy faculty at NCSU for over 34 years.
